Hawkins County's educational system includes 12 elementary schools,
3 middle schools (6-8 grades), and two comprehensive high schools
with fully equipped vocational-technical departments. The educational
system has an average daily attendance of 7,501 and graduates
approximately 400 yearly.
Vocational-Technical training is offered at the Tennessee Technology
Centers at Phipps Bend and Morristown and at the Northeast State
Technical Institute in neighboring Sullivan County adjacent to
the Tri-Cities Airport.

and universities. The University of Tennessee and East Tennessee
State University jointly operate a branch in Eastern Hawkins County.
